Price Increase Calculator
Enter the current price and increase percent to get the new price and cash rise.
Raise a price by a percentage
When suppliers raise list prices, menus need refreshing, or you want a simple inflation uplift, multiply the current amount by (1 + increase %). The calculator shows the new price, the cash increase and the multiplier so you can round for till or catalogue display afterwards. One percentage only — it does not compound multi-year inflation for you. Pair the rise with margin checks so the uplift actually protects contribution rather than just matching a headline CPI figure. For cutting a price instead use price decrease; for salary uplifts use the pay rise calculator.
Worked example
£49 with an 8% increase becomes £52.92 — a cash rise of £3.92 and a 1.08× multiplier.
Limits and assumptions
Single percentage applied once. Display currency formatting only — no FX conversion. Rounding for shelf prices is left to you.
Frequently asked questions
Can I model a price cut?
Enter a negative percent if you want a decrease here, or use the dedicated price decrease tool for clearer wording.
Should I round before or after?
Do the percentage math first, then round to the coin or price-ending you actually print.
Will this protect my margin?
Only if the rise matches cost pressure. Check contribution afterward with a product-profit or margin tool.
Does it convert currencies?
No — amounts stay in whatever currency you typed.
